I was thinking if there would be a good idea to have a docker image for the pod to make it easier for people to set one up… ??

maybe even a docker image for the database … that could make it quick and realy simple for people to make a one mans pod and easey to migrate it around …

might it work with lightSql as well to make the pod docker and database docker as small as possible

There’s a docker image by Brad Koehn: https://github.com/koehn/diaspora-docker
You can try that if you want. But please be aware this is not an official and supported installation method.
