Today it came to my mind, that it would be very handy to have a special (closed) default podmin aspect to exchange important information about spam, fake accounts, security holes etc. What do you think ?
Not a podmin, but this does make sense, also given there are new laws in the UK around data protection, social media is going to be seen as far more accountable with regard to , child safety, (grooming, illegal images) too which I am sure no podmin wants on their own pod, however much they support free expression.
Being able to share issues that impact on the pod(s) would be a good thing. I think there is a channel on freenode for channel owners / ops, it is helpful to be able to swap ideas, good practice and tips, and even mentor / help new podmins, which is going to be essential if Diaspora is to expand.
Hope this helps
