Would it be possible to implement a link on the federal-Pod to the origin-Pod, so a new reader can see comments, that are older than his own entry-point in the thread?
The situation is, that you cannot be sure, that there are older comments, which eventually already are answers to your own actual question, by others earlier.
We can’t link to the source, because it can be diaspora or friendica or hubzilla and they have different links to posts and it can even change between versions. But the solution would be to fetch all past comments so every pod has all comments for the post, which would be part of the protocol so it is supported by every other software supporting the protocol. I planned to work on this but didn’t have the time yet.
