Hi,
the new comment Like functionality can be addictive and create unwanted competition, reducing the quality of the discussion. Some users might find appropriate to opt-out before publishing certain posts.
It would be very nice to have the option to return to the previous behaviour we’ve grown accustomed to, with only post Likes and no comment Likes, removing all Like counters and buttons from comments.
A button or checkbox to disable both sending and receiving likes on comments during post creation could be really useful when the user needs to post about serious or delicate topics, fostering in-dept and constructive discussion.
This is only a feature request to improve the user experience. The image is just a draft for clarity and isn’t intended to endorse a certain implementation over another.
